The Suites at Holly Creek Earns B.E.S.T. in Class Award from Telligen

April 29, 2024

Holly Creek receives Telligen Best in Class AwardHolly Creek’s skilled nursing neighborhood has been honored with the prestigious Telligen 2024 B.E.S.T. in Class Award, which recognizes skilled nursing communities that have demonstrated exceptional performance and dedication to providing safe, quality care for residents.

This is a significant milestone for our community, as it acknowledges our team’s commitment to resident well-being and exceptional care standards.

Only 15 care communities in Colorado were awarded this high accolade, including two of Holly Creek’s sister communities, Clermont Park in Denver, Colorado and Casey’s Pond in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and only 76 communities total across the four states of Colorado, Oklahoma, Iowa, and Illinois.

Qualifications for Earning the Telligen B.E.S.T. in Class Award

In order to qualify for the B.E.S.T. in Class Award, Holly Creek needed to demonstrate its performance and commitment to excellence in four key areas, which are represented in the award’s name, “B.E.S.T.” in Class:

B: Blue Ribbon in COVID-19 Vigilance Recipient

The first requirement was receiving the Blue Ribbon in COVID-19 Vigilance for three quarters of the year in 2023. This award recognizes communities that have completed the COVID-19 Preparedness Assessment to confirm ongoing prevention practices and met team member and resident vaccination benchmarks. The Blue Ribbon in COVID-19 Vigilance represents Holly Creek’s continued efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

E: Emergency Preparedness Assessment

The next requirement was our completion of Telligen’s Emergency Preparedness Assessment, which analyzes Holly Creek’s readiness to respond swiftly and efficiently in the event of an emergency.

S: Safe Staff – Infection Prevention and Control Training

Qualifying for the B.E.S.T. in Class Award also required at least 75% of Holly Creek’s team to have completed comprehensive, CMS-approved infection prevention and control training. This benchmark further exemplifies Holly Creek team members’ commitment to resident well-being, both individually and collectively.

T: Transitions – Reducing Preventable Emergency Department Visits

The final achievement needed to earn the B.E.S.T. in Cass Award was reducing preventable visits to the emergency department by at least 5%, or being among the top 25% of Telligen’s enrolled communities.
