Holly Creek Welcomes New Neighbors through Radio Program

Priscilla Stenman and Marty Lamm hosted the “Wanderings” radio program, broadcast over Holly Creek’s HCRK radio station, for years prior to COVID-19. Putting the program on hold for over a year due to social distancing requirements, Stenman and Lamm missed sharing the interesting stories of their neighbors.

Now, with Holly Creek’s high vaccination rates and community activities returning to in person, Stenman and Lamm are back in the studio every Friday morning. This time, they are taking this opportunity to interview new neighbors who have moved to Holly Creek over the last year, sharing their stories, introducing them to the community and forming new friendships in the process.

“It helps strike chords of commonality — when others here have done the same things,” Stenman explained. “It also piques people’s curiosity and leads to conversation on topics. A lot of people have been really welcoming to them after they are on the radio.”
