Relationships—they make a neighborhood into a home. It can be easy to miss that sense of community after moving, but making new connections (or rekindling old ones) doesn’t have to be difficult. Residents at Holly Creek Life Plan Community in Centennial are proving just how easy it can be with the right tools.
In addition to the community’s many initiatives, communal activities and resident groups, Holly Creek is leading an initiative to teach easy, practical conversation tactics. The community is hosting a public Art of Conversation Workshop designed to provide tips and tricks for small talk and deep discussion alike this month. Current community residents will share some of the tools they have found to be most effective at connecting with their neighbors and spearheading new initiatives grounded in common passions, values and goals. Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect on a personal level with Holly Creek neighbors and learn what it is really like living in one of Denver’s most active older adult communities.
Those interested in joining the meeting at 11 a.m. March 21 should contact Isabel Godoy at 720-466-2039 or via email to igodoy@clcliving.org to reserve a spot. The workshop will be followed by lunch. This opportunity is open to the public, but seats are limited.
Located in at 5500 E. Peakview Avenue in Centennial, Colorado, Holly Creek is owned and operated by Denver-based not-for-profit Christian Living Communities. CLC has been providing quality senior care in the south Denver metropolitan area since 1972.
